The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is a critical tool used to incorporate environmental considerations during the early planning and design stages of a project. It establishes baseline environmental, social, and economic conditions in the project area and identifies the potential impacts of the proposed development, including their nature, scale, duration, and affected communities. The study also recommends appropriate mitigation measures along with their estimated costs and evaluates project alternatives to determine the most beneficial and least damaging option in financial, social, and environmental terms. The EIA further provides essential input for preparing an Environmental Management Plan (EMP).
To conduct the EIA, ENVIRO CONSULT undertakes a reconnaissance survey of the project site, collects relevant data and drawings, and reviews applicable environmental legislation and standards. The process includes verifying available information, establishing baseline conditions, assessing project impacts, proposing mitigation measures, preparing the EMP, compiling the EIA report, and offering technical assistance during the Public Hearing.
